SBP Care & Philosophy

Answers to the questions patients and parents ask most often

Which practitioner will care for my child?

As Chief Physician, Dr. Kyle reviews all care provided by himself or his associates, Marie Martinez Spencer, CPNP, and Amy Baxter Bailey, CPNP. All patients are assigned to a Patient Care Co-Management Team, in order to assure that your child always has more than one provider who is familiar with their care. While each practitioner may see your child for well child and sick care, each has areas of special interest and expertise.  For example, Marie Martinez Spencer, CPNP, has a special interest in allergy and asthma, as well as well-child education.   Amy Baxter, CPNP, has expertise as a breastfeeding resource nurse, and has a special interest in childhood obesity and parent education in handling children's behavior problems. Our staff will always seek to schedule your child with the practitioner best suited for their health care needs, based upon practitioner availability and your preferences.  Each practitioner does have scheduled days out of the office.    Should you prefer a specific practitioner, we will always seek to meet your request.  For urgent care for acute illness, we will schedule your child with the practitioner who can meet your child’s health care need and has time available to do so.

What is the San Benito Pediatrics' mission and philosophy?
At San Benito Pediatrics, we are committed to providing your child with the highest quality primary health care available in our community. The standard of care is that which we would apply to our own children.

We recognize each child as a unique and precious gift, and feel privileged that we may take part in each child’s growth and development.

San Benito Pediatrics practice philosophy is basic:  to help children attain and maintain optimal physical, emotional, spiritual and mental health.  By definition, this involves working to nurture and enhance family health.

We seek to assure that patients and parents feel that they can talk freely and confidentially to medical personnel, that our staff are knowledgeable and conscientious, and that the practice is well managed.
